Babbel Presents New Online Language Courses
- New beginner’s courses for Brazilian Portuguese and Swedish
- Advanced English for learners with previous knowledge
Today Babbel (http://www.babbel.com), the online language learning system, presents three new courses: Beginner’s Brazilian Portuguese, Beginner’s Swedish and Advanced English. These new courses make use of Babbel’s innovative brand of interactive and multimedia self-directed learning, while including the recently released pronunciation training tool with browser-based speech recognition.
All Babbel content is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), so users learn efficiently while having fun in the process. Recognized for its unique combination of language didactics and state-of the-art-technology, Babbel was recently awarded the Comenius-EduMedia Seal for high-quality educational multimedia products.
An easy introduction into Portuguese and Swedish
The new beginner’s courses offer a remarkably simple introduction into the Portuguese and Swedish languages. The lessons teach the basics, using typical everyday situations like meeting people for the first time, introductions and travel situations. With short tutorials, the new speech recognition tool also helps learners practice pronunciation.
“Even with the current high demand for language courses, there are few good online ones out there for Swedish and Portuguese”, says Miriam Plieninger, Editorial Director at Babbel. “With our new beginner’s courses we bring the best alternative to the market. Intuitive, multimedia learning online is flexible for the user, who can learn whenever and wherever they want.”
Brush up your English
For learners of English as a foreign language, the new advanced English course is intended to help them expand their skills. The goal is to achieve a proficiency with which one can handle everyday situations and converse easily and coherently about familiar topics.
