    Beginner's Course 1

    A simple introduction to making yourself understood: learn the Russian alphabet and how you can enter the Russian alphabet in Babbel. Learn how to greet people and introduce yourself, ask others how they are, where they're from, and say how you are and where you work. You'll be led step-by-step through the alphabet, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. It's a literacy course with important basic vocabulary, and is based on a beginner's level of language learning.

    The next steps: Learn how to ask others their name and to introduce yourself. Speak about nationality, work and family and practice your first Russian verbs. Learn the words you'll need most to be understood at the airport and to talk about everyday activities. This is the Beginner's Course 2 and is based on a beginner's level of language learning.

    Beginner's Course 3

    With the Beginner's Course 3 you'll broaden your vocabulary regarding various themes like sports, where you live, shopping, transportation, etc., and will learn how to speak about routines. In the dialogues you'll learn how to use Russian in practical, everyday situations in correspondence with an upper beginner's level of language learning. You'll also learn more about the use of the accusative and prepositional cases, and new verbs will be introduced.

    Beginner's Course 4

    Beginner's Course 4 takes you one step further in your Russian. The focus in this course is on numbers. You'll learn step by step how to form the numbers 10 to 100, how to give the time and how to say how old you are. Another important part of this course is learning the past tense forms of verbs. You'll learn how to talk about yourself in the past, to say where you were born and where you've lived. You'll practise using the accusative case while learning how to express food preferences. Beginner's Course 4 corresponds to an upper beginner's level of language learning.

    Beginner's Course 5

    Beginner's Course 5 helps you master more everyday situations in Russian. You'll learn how to talk about the weather, to say what clothes you have and what you like. You'll learn important words and expressions for communicating with a doctor or a pharmacist. You'll also learn important words you can use at the table. For the first time you'll talk about your thoughts - who or what you're thinking about. In this course you'll review and expand your knowledge of the genitive and the prepositional, and you'll be introduced to the dative. The course corresponds to an upper beginner's level of language learning and focuses on listening comprehension and speaking, giving you even more confidence in using Russian.
