Babbel Beta Program

Your opinion is important to us.

We at Babbel are always working on making language learning easier and more convenient. We’re deeply invested in what you, as our user, want. But we have to know what your wishes are before we can try and grant them.

With the Babbel Beta Program, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in our beta tests and play an active role in Babbel’s future development.



What's a beta test?

The beta test gives selected users the possibility to try out new features and software before they are released to the general public. Your opinion, ideas and suggestions help us make Babbel even better.

What does a beta tester do?

We would love for you to:

  • Try the new features in depth
  • Scout out errors -- whether they be technical, in the content, or even in the language
  • Give us your honest opinion on features and content

How much time is needed for a beta test?

The time needed can vary. Please only take part if you have around two hours to spare.

How can I become a beta tester?

Send an email to beta@babbel.com. We'll arrange your access to the beta test. After that we'll send you some instructions so you can get started.

How do I find out about new beta tests?

As soon as we release a feature in beta, we invite all our beta testers to take a look. You can find a list of current beta tests here on the website.

Do I have to participate in every beta test?

No. Even if you can’t take part in a beta test, you’ll remain a member of the Beta Program and can participate in future tests.

How do I give feedback on beta tests?

We’ve set up a Board especially for beta testers. Along with other beta testers, you can discuss your impressions, ideas and suggestions, ask us questions or give your opinion. This Board will be invisible to other Babbel users.

Of course you can also send us an email. We’ll be happy to hear your thoughts at beta@babbel.com.

During the beta tests we will circulate a survey among testers. We’ll either provide a link to the questions at the beginning of the test instructions, or send them near the end of the beta phase via email.

What language are the beta tests in?

We strive to arrange tests for speakers off all different languages. You can always answer in your own language. If the language of the items on the beta board gets mixed up, simply set the filter on the left sidebar next to the board.

What if I change my mind?

If you can’t or decide not to continue participating in the Beta Program, just write us at beta@babbel.com. We’ll take you off the list.
