Berlin, 23 April 2012 - Babbel.com continues to grow. With Ulrike Hager, the online learning system has successfully filled the position of Director of Communications. With a degree in business administration, she will now be responsible for the public relations team, including a focus on corporate branding, design and communication. She will report directly to Managing Director Markus Witte.

Berlin, 26 March, 2013 - Babbel, the online learning system for foreign languages, today announced the closing of a series B funding round. Leading the round is Reed Elsevier Ventures. Other investors include Nokia Growth Partners as well as existing investors, IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft via its VC Fonds Technologie Berlin, and Kizoo Technology Ventures. The investment will be used to accelerate international expansion and improve the adaptation to all relevant mobile and online platforms.

Berlin, March 14, 2013 - Babbel.com, recently awarded at the "Innovate 4 Society Award" by Microsoft at CeBIT, introduces their new language apps for Windows Phone 8. Users of smartphones with Windows 8 can now download apps in the "education" category of the Windows Phone Store for free and learn any of eleven languages. Introduced in October, 2012, the app for Windows 8 tablets and PCs is the most successful educational app in the German Windows Store.

Berlin, 27 February, 2013 -With the new Business German courses on Babbel.com, both beginners and professionals can focus on preparing for essential job-related situations, from the interview to everyday office activities online. According to an internal survey, over a third of Babbel users are studying German for professional reasons
