Babbel Tutorials: Essentials & Explanations

We here at Babbel have been working on a new language learning tool. The idea was to provide more in-depth learning material and essentials while retaining the current website's playful and interactive style. We call the solution Babbel Tutorials.

Entertaining Interactive Exercises

Babbel Tutorials use a similar multi-media approach as the rest of the Babbel application. They consist of texts, pictures, audio examples and interactive elements that make the learning process just as playful and entertaining. In some cases you'll have to find the correct ending for a word or the right answer to a question, in others you'll have to match dialogues to pictures and rules to examples. But the Tutorial will consistently let you know if you're on the right track.

Levels and Themes

The first Tutorials give you an easy start into a new language. Higher levels are progressively more challenging, so more advanced users can also find interesting exercises. Depending on your learning style, you can either follow a suggested course progression, or pick the themes you are interested in.

Behind the Scenes

A team of native speaking course editors here at Babbel creates the Tutorials. With the easy-to-use Tutorial Builder, they put together all kinds of content: from simple texts, pictures, and audio recordings to fill-in-the-blank and multiple-choice exercises. We will also provide this browser-based online tool to language teachers worldwide, who can use it to build custom learning material. The resulting content will be available to all Babbel users. So in addition to the Babbel content a whole world of exercises and language courses can emerge. We are looking forward to your contributions!
